The Rainbow Society will update with three chapters a day for a period of time.
Yes, absolutely! Starting from today, Rainbow will increase the daily chapter updates from two to three!
As you all know, Rainbow has been writing two books simultaneously for quite some time now. Today, the other book has finally been completed and brought to a proper close (it is a normal conclusion, with no sudden hiatus, abandonment, or rushed ending—my reputation remains intact!). Finally, I can free up some of my energy.
Initially, I thought about focusing on a single book to save some energy and get a bit more rest. But after giving it some thought, Rainbow decided: no rest! With the previous book finished, I am increasing the updates for this one to three chapters a day. Time to push hard again!
Rainbow is no longer young; at thirty-five this year, I am officially a middle-aged person with elderly parents to support, young children to raise, and a mortgage to pay. Writing is my full-time job, and I have no other source of income besides crafting stories.
Such is the helplessness of middle age—I dare not stop, I dare not rest, and I can only keep on fighting.
Aside from pushing forward, what else can I do?
I am earnestly begging everyone starting from today, please do not let the chapters pile up unread. Even if you don't read them immediately, please at least click through to the latest chapter every day to boost the daily retention metrics for this book.
Daily retention is the single most important metric nowadays. Without retention, we have nothing—no subsequent recommendations, no exposure, no performance, and consequently, no money. If that happens, Rainbow simply won't be able to keep going.
I do admit that I have a dark history of abandoning past projects or giving them rushed endings. I own up to that, and I stand ready to take the criticism.
However... how should I put it? If the performance is good and I can earn enough to feed my family, how could Rainbow possibly ever abandon a story?
Rainbow is no longer young. I've lost the luxury I had in my youth—that carefree confidence where I could ignore market performance, write entirely according to my personal whims, and keep going no matter how poorly the book fared, without a single burden.
Of course, poor performance is ultimately Rainbow's own fault for failing to produce works that everyone enjoys reading.
Having learned a painful lesson from the past, Rainbow finally started this current book. Now that the previous book is finished and I have more energy, I've made the immediate decision to ramp up to three chapters a day, regardless of whether the book has officially been put on shelves or not.
As for how long I can maintain three chapters a day... it's hard to say for now; it will depend on the subsequent performance and trend of the book.
I can only ask for your continued support, more daily reads, and if you could spare a few more monthly votes, that would be even better! That way, the book's performance can improve, bringing more recommendations and exposure, and allowing Rainbow to make a living and support the family.
Whether Rainbow can focus on writing this book with zero worries for the future depends entirely on all of you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
