“Damn!” the short-haired woman behind me exclaimed.

There was another safety lock inside; the door only opened a narrow gap just wide enough to slip a hand through.

This kind of safety lock was even easier to open—just a rubber band and a piece of tape were enough.

I slipped the rubber band over the bolt, secured it with tape, pressed the tape against the wall near the doorframe, gently closed the door, and then pushed forward.

The tape and rubber band pulled the bolt open, and the door silently swung wide open.

I glanced back at Sister Yan and Blackie, nodding slightly, and caught the short-haired woman’s stunned expression behind me—her face full of disbelief, as if watching a magic trick.

All these tricks were taught by Third Master. I wasn’t even the best at it; if Little Monkey came, it wouldn’t take more than three seconds.

Sister Yan stood at the doorway and turned on the room’s light. Blackie and I stepped inside.

On the large round bed lay a balding old man, holding a long-haired woman in his arms. Both were fully clothed and fast asleep.

Blackie’s eyes were bloodshot. Suddenly, he kicked the bed hard!

The two startled awake. The balding man was surprisingly quick, slipping off the bed, putting on his shoes with fluid movements, and in a blink, he was at the window, preparing to jump.

He stopped suddenly when he remembered they were on the fifteenth floor, then turned around and shouted, “Honey, let me explain!”

Seeing the people standing in the room, he froze and asked blankly, “Who are you? Zhao Zeqiang? What the hell are you doing here? Get out!”

Blackie explained to him, “Boss, these are my friends. They’re here to catch a cheater.

Qiqi, if you don’t want to be with me anymore, just say so. Why are you doing this to me?”

The long-haired woman, initially pale with fright, quickly composed herself upon seeing who was present. She raised her eyebrows at Blackie and said,

“Qiang Ge, didn’t I tell you to just sleep at the dorm tonight? Who told you to come here?”

Blackie was furious, pointing at the balding man. “But how come you and the boss are in a hotel and sleeping in the same bed?”

The long-haired woman was annoyed. “So what if we’re lying in the same bed? You don’t even understand the relationship between me and him! He’s my godfather. He wanted to talk to me. Can’t I refuse?

Do you suspect we did something behind your back? If we really did, would we be wearing our clothes so neatly?”

Her rapid-fire questions left Blackie momentarily stunned, as if sensing some truth.

The balding man noticed Blackie’s hesitation and sneered, “Zhao Zeqiang, don’t forget, you and Qiqi aren’t married yet. Even if we did something, what right do you have to interfere?”

Qiqi pulled back the covers and got off the bed, standing beside Blackie and grabbing his arm. “Qiang Ge, you promised to always trust me.

You know what’s been going on with my family. You’re my boyfriend, but what have you done to help me?

My godfather even paid my mother’s medical bills. Tonight he was in a bad mood and came to talk to me. Could I refuse?

I chose you, such a poor boyfriend, and you never complained. How can you still doubt me?”

Blackie, not good with words, was stunned by her sharp rebuttal, unable to respond.

Scratching his head, he seemed to admit he might have been wrong.

I couldn’t stand it anymore and yelled at the balding man and the woman, “Do you have any shame? Are you trying to fool an idiot here?”

“Don’t call Qiang Ge an idiot!” The woman glared at me angrily, clutching Blackie’s arm. “My Qiang Ge isn’t stupid; he knows how to tell truth from lies. Qiang Ge, I just want to ask—do you believe me?”

Blackie looked between his girlfriend and the balding man, then turned to me seriously. “Stone, don’t scold Qiqi. She’s a good girl! Everyone at the club bullies me, only Qiqi treats me well and is willing to be my girlfriend.”

“Blackie…” I didn’t know what to say.

When Third Master took Blackie in, he realized Blackie’s intelligence was impaired—he had no guile and was so straightforward he could stab a stick from head to toe without deviation.

Yet, he was the fastest to learn Qi cultivation, had the strongest Qi, and the highest combat power.

But to prevent him from hurting others accidentally, Third Master ordered him not to fight unless absolutely necessary.

So even when bullied, Blackie silently endured, not knowing how to fight back.

I thought after all these years, even if Blackie’s intellect wasn’t normal, he would at least know right from wrong.

But now, I realized I had overestimated him.

This woman was clever, knowing she didn’t need to convince all three of us—just Blackie was enough.

But Blackie was my friend; how could I watch these two scoundrels deceive him?

Just as I was about to warn Blackie, the balding man stood behind him, sneering and muttering, “Idiot!”

He turned to Sister Yan and me, eyes full of contempt. “You two idiots! You think you can catch a cheater? What did you catch?”

Seeing the disdain in his eyes and Blackie’s relieved expression, my face darkened. Squinting, I asked, “What did you say?”

The balding man curled his lips arrogantly. “I said you fools think you can catch cheaters? Do you have the ability? Do you have any proof?”

“Proof, huh?” I sneered and ripped off my blindfold.

Sister Yan shouted, “Stone, don’t!”

Ignoring her, I covered my right eye with my hand and looked over the balding man, smirking coldly.

“You call us fools, but you’re the most useless one here.

All you do is use your hands and mouth. Looking at these marks on your body makes me want to vomit—disgusting!”

“What did you say?” The balding man’s face flushed red instantly. He glared at me, panicked, and shouted.

I ignored him and glanced at the long-haired woman, coldly saying, “Blackie is my brother. Please don’t use that filthy mouth that’s been in other people’s mouths to say you love him.”

Sister Yan came over with a tissue, covering my left eye. “Stone, stop. Your eye is already bloodshot!”

I shook my head. “Not yet. I can’t just watch Blackie be fooled by these shameless bastards.”

Discarding the bloody tissue, I turned to the bed, yanked off the covers, and tossed them aside. “The sheets were changed less than two hours ago, but you didn’t even wipe the remote? Using this thing to play around, you really don’t care if it’s dirty!”

The balding man’s face was full of panic and guilt. He cursed at me, “What the hell are you babbling about?”

I pushed him aside and strode into the bathroom. “You old freak! You like playing in front of the mirror? Is this sink your battlefield too?”

The balding man, furious, pointed at me and shouted, “Shut up! Or I’ll beat you to death!”

The long-haired woman blushed deeply, looking flustered. She trembled as she said, “Qiang Ge, don’t listen to him. He’s lying! You guys, get out now, or I’ll call the police!”

I pointed to the trash can nearby. “Denial? There’s evidence down there. Want me to dump it out for you?”

“You…” The balding man looked utterly shocked, his eyes like he’d seen a ghost.

Qiqi went pale and grabbed Blackie’s arm. “Qiang Ge, listen to me. It’s not like that…”

Blackie shoved her away and kicked the balding man, sending him flying.

“Liao Guofu, do you really think I’m an idiot? I just don’t want to lose Qiqi!”

Qiqi screamed loudly as I grabbed Sister Yan and left the room.

The short-haired woman stood at the door watching the commotion. When I came out, she widened her eyes and asked, “What kind of monster are you? How did you figure it out?”

I ignored her, covering my left eye with the tissue Sister Yan handed me.
