Chapter 51: Did I Tell You That You Could Leave?
The people in the mourning hall all came out and gathered around the entrance.
Should I lose the fight, they would be able to rescue someone at a moment's notice, and they would desperately block the doorway to prevent these bastards from taking the opportunity to barge in and cause trouble.
Luo Wusheng didn't even take off his coat. He just casually reached out his left hand toward me and crooked his finger.
"Dad, you have way too little confidence in me. Where would it take three minutes? To deal with a weakling like this, one minute is more than enough!"
Luo Qiman clapped her hands from the side and said, "Brother, I believe in you. Fifty seconds will do! Look at his scrawny little build, he's nowhere near as good as you!"
I ignored the banter between the siblings and simply raised a hand to take off my glasses.
Yet at that very moment, seeing that I made no move, Luo Wusheng could wait no longer. He rushed straight at me, launching a front snap kick directly at my chest!
Swish!
A piercing sound of splitting air brushed past my ear. My heart skipped a beat, and I hurriedly sidestepped to avoid it!
It turned out to be a trap, as if I had fallen for his ruse. He followed up with a spinning hook punch that came whistling through the air!
At such close range, dodging was entirely out of the question. I could only raise my arms to block. With a loud thud, his arm crashed into mine, sending my feet sliding backward uncontrollably. I didn't manage to steady my footing until I had retreated seven or eight meters!
A surge of shock ran through my heart. This guy was truly formidable!
His strikes carried the sound of tearing wind, which indicated that his techniques had reached an astonishing level in both force and speed!
Blackie could also achieve this feat, but only when executing full-strength attacks; he couldn't do it as effortlessly as this guy, who produced such effects with casual, random strikes.
Before I could even stand firm, Luo Wusheng moved like a shadow clinging to its object, appearing right in front of me and delivering a heavy punch straight to my chest!
I could no longer keep my balance and collapsed heavily to the ground with a thud!
"Bah! What an overconfident weakling! You're nowhere near that black kid!" Luo Wusheng spat on me, looking down from above with utter disdain.
Luo Qiman clapped her hands in delight nearby and laughed, "Yay! Brother is amazing! That only took twenty seconds!"
Luo Wusheng curled his lips and said, "This level of strength is hardly satisfying. I haven't even warmed up yet! What a letdown. He talked a big game, yet his strength is so pathetic, and he actually dared to challenge our dad. Absolutely hilarious!"
He shook his head and turned to leave, intending to walk away.
"Shitou!" Wen Liang and Little Monkey cried out in alarm as they ran over.
I waved my hand to signal that they didn't need to panic, and shouted at Luo Wusheng's retreating back, "Hey, you ape, you hit me twice and you think you can just walk away?"
The smile on Luo Qiman's face froze in place not far away, and she stared in disbelief as I picked myself back up.
Luo Wusheng turned around as well, looking at me as he spoke, "You brat haven't taken enough beatings? You still want more?"
I dusted off my clothes, took off my glasses, handed them over to Wen Liang, and turned back to face Luo Wusheng. I extended my left hand and crooked a finger at him.
My strength was inferior to Blackie's, but there was one thing in which I was no less capable than him: my tolerance for blows.
The dough-kneading I endured growing up wasn't for nothing.
To stimulate the Qi within the both of us, he couldn't hold back, and I couldn't dodge; every single heavy blow landed solidly on my body.
Therefore, the heavier the opponent's fists, the stronger the defensive Qi within my body would become. Although Luo Wusheng's punch was far from light, it still fell well within my acceptable threshold.
Taking a deep breath, I closed my right eye, looked at Luo Wusheng, and said, "I've never been one to let others take advantage of me. You hit me twice and want to turn tail and run? It's not going to be that easy!"
Luo Wusheng's face twisted with ferocity as he gritted his teeth and glared at me, "Interesting! You can still stand, huh? I'll keep beating you until you can't stand anymore!"
He clenched his fists so hard his knuckles cracked. He grabbed his zipper, yanked it all the way down, stripped off his coat, and threw it to his sister.
Underneath, he wore only a string-vest tank top, revealing bulging muscles that looked utterly exaggerated.
Yet, under the gaze of my Qi-Observing Eye, this kind of showing off was purely like winking at a blind man.
Third Uncle was right; Luo Wusheng was not a Qi practitioner after all.
His internal Qi was completely different from Luo Weijing's later on. It had not formed clear circuits and currents resembling electric currents at all; rather, it had merely gathered into massive masses of Qi circulating throughout his entire body.
What I needed to find now were the areas where his Qi circulation was obstructed—that was his weak point, much like the vital acupoint spoken of by Qigong masters!
No matter how formidable Luo Wusheng's strength was, as long as I struck this exact spot, he would suffer severe injuries at best, or his Qi would scatter entirely at worst!
Before I could locate it, Luo Wusheng had already charged forward, hurling a fist straight at my face!
Left with no choice, I had to open my right eye to evade his assault.
However, this state of being half normal and half under the Qi-Observing Eye made me feel rather unaccustomed. After dodging a punch, I was grabbed by the shoulder, and following a knee strike, my lower abdomen took a heavy blow. An unbearable, twisting pain surged through me, and I let out a muffled groan, collapsing limply to the ground!
Luo Wusheng didn't let me off. Another heavy punch smashed into my face, ringing in my head and causing my consciousness to blur.
Fortunately, I hadn't lost consciousness, and my awareness was recovering rapidly.
I shook my head and watched as Luo Wusheng squatted down in front of me, patting my face with his hand.
"Satisfied? That's you done for? And here I thought how strong you were! You can take a punch from me, but not two! A puny little weed like you only makes me waste a fraction more effort at most!"
Luo Qiman reminded him from the side, "Brother, don't beat him to death and cause trouble for Dad!"
"Relax!" Luo Wusheng stood up, shaking his head dismissively. "Though this brat is weak, he won't die that easily! Lying in bed for a couple of months will fix him up, no trouble at all! Dad, we can leave now. These kids are guaranteed to behave themselves from now on!"
"Stop right there!" I sat up, rubbed my face with both hands, and forced my aching body to stand. Staring at Luo Wusheng, I said, "The fight isn't over yet. Did I tell you you could leave?"
My current state was somewhat bizarre. My entire field of vision felt like a computer screen split into dual monitors; my left and right eyes clearly looked at the very same person, yet they presented two separate images.
The eerie part was that these two images coexisted without interfering with each other, much like a computer's central processor being split in two, multitasking simultaneously.
"Shitou!" The worried cries of Wen Liang and Little Monkey rang out from behind.
I turned my head, waved my hand at them, and said, "I'm fine!"
Seeing the tissue handed over by Little Monkey, I reached out to take it. I missed it on the first try, but successfully caught it on the second, using it to wipe away the blood trickling from the corner of my mouth.
When a person covers one eye, their depth perception and spatial awareness become unreliable.
This split-screen vision made me somewhat unaccustomed, which was why I failed to grab the tissue the first time. However, my brain made an immediate adjustment, and by now I could accurately pinpoint positions.
Discarding the blood-stained tissue, I looked at Luo Wusheng, who was still standing there in a daze, and said, "Your kind of strength was able to defeat Blackie? Could someone have helped you? Or did you cheat and use underhanded tricks against Blackie? Your punches and kicks are so limp—did you skip breakfast this morning?"
"You're courting death!" Luo Wusheng's face turned livid. Gritting his teeth, he charged forward, cursing, "Since you're tired of living, I'll grant your wish! A little weed like you, I'll kill with a single punch!"
Accompanied by the howling sound of splitting wind, Luo Wusheng hurled a heavy punch directly at my head!
I tilted my head to dodge it, and as I slipped past under his armpit, I clenched my fist tightly, protruding the middle-finger knuckle, and slammed it viciously into the vital spot beneath his left ribcage and lower back!
Luo Wusheng let out a muffled grunt, his body listing to one side as he stumbled backward, his entire face turning instantly pale!
