Chapter 32: Don't Be Angry
Lin Siqing was absolutely livid at the sight of the painting. With his eyes locked onto the "incriminating evidence" in Fu Siqiao's hand, he lunged forward recklessly, desperate to snatch it away. His movements were swift and clumsy, like a small, out-of-control rhinoceros. Perhaps it was due to his frantic haste or the way anger had clouded his judgment, but he suddenly stumbled, his feet catching on nothing, and he pitched forward. With a loud "thud," Lin Siqing fell hard.
"Left Emissary Yang, assist me!" Yang Xiao was dealing with Miejue with ease, but over on the other side, Wei Yixiao was having a rough time. The beast tamer fared no better; he was sent flying backward by the impact, tumbling through the air several times before barely managing to regain his footing. Though he looked somewhat disheveled, he had not sustained any serious injuries.
The reason for this question was that Shikamaru, that fellow, always managed to achieve exactly the score he wanted on every exam.
Among the Twelve Imperial Orders of the Universe, the Supreme Commander was Tie Haitang of the Wind and Thunder Fortress at Golden Sand Beach. Beneath her, the twelve orders were led by the four masters of the Heaven, Earth, Qian, and Kun halls, whose status was just below Tie Haitang’s and equal to one another.
A promotion? It was an incredibly sensitive word for Xu Jingyou. She shuddered in fear—what promotion? What kind of promotion? She didn't want any of it.
"What a waste of a table full of good food!" Lin Jie muttered after a few bites. He set down his chopsticks and left with a dark expression on his face.
"Hall Master Jin, just three days ago, the Sect Leader suddenly summoned all personnel, claiming that enemies were approaching and ordering us to prepare for battle."
Yan Huang really wanted to stay out of it and mind his own business, but Abby’s remark made him laugh. Upon closer reflection, however, he realized she was right.
The agent’s words struck a nerve in Xu Fenglai. Embarrassed and unable to refute the point, he had no choice but to sit down, feeling deeply unwilling.
For the sake of money, the shop assistant felt that offending these two seemingly insignificant people was a very safe bet.
"I know, I’ll take you out for a stroll sometime," Lin Xiao said with a smile, picking up Celebi and teasing it. Celebi, tickled by Lin Xiao, immediately began to giggle, "Goo-goo~"
It was a pity he couldn't stop these things from happening, but then again, Lin Xiao was not afraid of retaliation from Team Magma. If they dared to come, he would make sure they learned that there was no such thing as a regret pill in this world.
All eight buildings were situated in a dense forest, which actually made it convenient for Ye Tian and the others to sneak out at night.
The previously cheerful atmosphere instantly turned stifling. Everyone remained silent and continued washing, only the ditsy Shizuka seeming unaware of what had just happened.
She wickedly pinched his nose for a long time, only letting go when he showed signs of waking up due to a lack of air. Watching him nervously, she let out a long sigh of relief when she realized he hadn't fully awakened. Then, a mischievous smile played on her lips as she leaned in, staring at his thin, pale lips for a long time.
Xiao Mei’er stood up from the low couch, and only then did Ye Zhong notice that she was wearing nothing but a silk robe, with not a single stitch of clothing underneath.
Looking at his scholar’s attire and then at them, it was clear they were completely out of place, as if they belonged to two different worlds. And indeed, they did.
Ye Tian ripped the mangled car door right off and roughly dragged the two unconscious officers out, tossing them onto the ground.
Any new government policy would be written on it. So, he was getting things done. Of course, his work was different from the "office work" of the Ministry of Personnel, but no one ever said he wasn't working.
"Who are you chatting with that’s keeping you so busy?" At lunchtime, Qi Yu walked over and, seeing Ling Baolu still engrossed in her computer, asked curiously who she was talking to.
"Especially you, You Haoyun, you need to keep a closer eye on those lone survivors," Xue Feng reminded her.
Wu Song likely never imagined the way Shi An was scrutinizing him, but fortunately, after noticing Shi An’s disappointment, Wu Song chose to confess the truth.
