Chapter 50: Everyday Life and Happiness
Upon hearing the faint roar of the fighter jet slicing through the air, everyone present was instantly jolted to attention, their movements and words momentarily halted by reflex.
Several young ladies, who had been sipping tea and watching television, exchanged glances. With elegant smiles, they rose together and stepped outside. Yet, the subtle tension that had always lingered among them grew noticeably sharper in the wake of the aircraft’s sound.
---
High above, Luo Feng noticed the lively atmosphere at his home from afar. He frowned slightly but said nothing.
It was his parents’ social circle. Since they found joy and fulfillment in it, as their son, he naturally refrained from interference.
After all, these were merely people who, using his parents as a stepping stone, sought to curry favor with him. Such individuals were inevitable; unless Luo Feng whisked his family away into a remote jungle to live in seclusion, they would always be in contact with society.
Even he himself could not avoid it.
Not long ago, the military had courteously approached him, awarding him a prestigious rank. There was no expectation for him to perform any duties—only to lend his name—and they assigned nine hundred personal guards to protect his family.
Now, the entire Qingfeng neighborhood was swarming with the eyes and ears of his guards. It was practically impossible for even an unregistered fly to enter the community unnoticed.
Luo Feng found it difficult to refuse such arrangements. After all, he was born in this country and had been blessed by it, especially since the military acted with such respect.
Even if they had not extended this courtesy, Luo Feng would not stand idly by if the nation or his base faced hardship.
“I-1, find a quiet, uninhabited spot outdoors to stay,” Luo Feng instructed the AI of his number-one fighter jet, noticing that his usual parking spot had already been taken.
He leapt from midair himself, not needing to use his teleportation device. Instead, he focused his spiritual energy onto his clothing, gently guiding his descent to the ground.
On Earth, the spiritual energy of practitioners typically adheres to metal objects; when applied to fabric or other porous materials, it dissipates quickly.
Two months prior, Luo Feng had been the same. But after cultivating the technique imparted by Bai within a gravity chamber, his spiritual energy became increasingly refined day by day. He could now channel two streams of the strongest spiritual force onto a single throwing knife.
Luo Feng could control nine throwing knives simultaneously to unleash their full power, but these forces were dispersed and had yet to fully embody the terrifying potential of a spiritual master.
Spiritual energy should ideally be concentrated, much like a martial artist’s power, but due to the difficulty, Earth’s practitioners without proper inheritance scattered their energy.

Under the watchful eyes of onlookers, Luo Feng landed lightly.
The once lively villa courtyard fell utterly silent.
All eyes turned to the young man clad in a black casual outfit, his expression calm yet bearing a sharpness in his gaze that could chill the soul.
His C2-grade combat suit had long since been removed and returned home—it was impossible to wear such metallic armor casually. The black casual wear was, in fact, a manifestation of the Black God suit.
Luo Hongguo and Gong Xinlan glanced at their ‘friend’ speechlessly, but were the first to react. They hurried toward Luo Feng, who was approaching, their faces lighting up with joy.
“Back so early today?” they asked.
“I’ve been training outside for two months. I plan to rest at home for a while,” Luo Feng replied with a slight smile. Looking at his parents’ flushed, radiant faces, his mood was quite pleasant.
“What about Xiaohua?” Luo Feng inquired.
At these words, the couple exchanged a peculiar glance. Luo Feng noticed their strange expressions and felt a twinge of doubt. Could something have happened to Xiaohua?
“He’s out laying low for a while,” Gong Xinlan sighed helplessly, gesturing for Luo Feng to look behind her.
Following his mother’s gaze, Luo Feng saw several beautiful girls with noble bearing. He immediately understood.
He had been away so long that he forgot his younger brother often stayed home. Unlike him, Xiaohua had a girlfriend, while Luo Hua remained single.
Such a superlative catch—every family would want one.
Luo Feng chuckled and shook his head. “That kid’s quite shy.”
As an older brother, he was glad to see his brother dating.
After all, Xiaohua had been housebound due to his leg disability, with no friends outside the family, which made him somewhat reserved and introverted.
If a relationship could help ease that solitude, it would be a good thing.
Whether there were ulterior motives... Luo Feng simply didn’t care.
He had been mature from a young age and understood one truth: people naturally gravitate toward the wealthy and the strong.
Everyone wants a good life, a carefree life—there’s nothing wrong with that.
---
As long as the intentions weren’t malicious, it was fine.
Besides… Luo Feng glanced at the girls. Each was beautiful and graceful; their qualities likely extended beyond appearance. If Xiaohua wished to court or marry one of them, it wouldn’t be a bad match.
The girls, catching Luo Feng’s piercing gaze, tensed instinctively as if locked onto by a powerful and terrifying predator. Fortunately, it lasted only a moment. Once they composed themselves, they dismissed it as a mere illusion.
Luo Feng withdrew his gaze, thinking to himself that at least these girls appeared sensible and unlikely to cause trouble.
Girls from prominent families were usually intelligent, capable, and attuned to social cues; they knew precisely what they wanted and why.
“Mom, Dad, carry on. I’m heading into the city for a bit,” Luo Feng said with a smile, sensing the scene was not suited for his presence. After a brief farewell, he vanished.
As he left, a faint collective sigh seemed to ripple through the gathering.
“Such a terrifying gaze; it feels even more fearsome than any lord-class monster I’ve seen,” a middle-aged man dealing in monster materials murmured anxiously.
Being the son of a battle squad captain and known for his good reputation, he could afford to purchase large quantities of rare monster materials. Occasionally, lord-class monster parts would come into his possession.
The residual aura of these recently slain lord-class beasts was still palpable. Ordinary people who stared too long would feel weak all over, their minds trembling.
It was said that the oppressive presence emanating from king-class monster materials could literally frighten ordinary people to death.

Outside on the street, Luo Feng strolled leisurely, pondering for a moment before bringing his combat watch close and initiating a video call to Xu Xin.
“Back already?” the voice answered promptly. Xu Xin’s miniature image projected before Luo Feng.
After White Chen’s modifications, Luo Feng’s combat watch linked directly with his number-one fighter jet, with many other enhanced functions. To Earth standards, it was practically a piece of science fiction.
“Yes, I’m back,” Luo Feng replied with a smile, feeling utterly relaxed.
This simple, happy life was quite pleasant.
