Chapter 32: A Clash Between the Mighty and the Small
“My goddess is an absolute beauty. If you don’t take a look, it’s your loss.” Little Kai raised his children’s phone high.
Mu Sihan looked utterly uninterested. “How old is your goddess?”
“She’s twenty-two, stands at 168 centimeters. As for her measurements, uh, I don’t know exactly, but she’s got a great figure. And her skin is fair and she’s stunningly beautiful.”
Mu Sihan sneered inwardly.
Women these days would stop at nothing to climb up to him.
To think she’d even send such a young boy to promote her.
“Go back and tell your goddess I have no interest in scheming women,” Mu Sihan said, turning to leave.
He had barely taken a few steps when a small figure darted before him, blocking his path.
Mu Sihan was not known for his patience, but he had already been unusually tolerant with this brat. His sharp brows lifted, his dark eyes glinting coldly. “Move aside, kid.”
Most people would have been cowed by Mu Sihan’s intense, intimidating presence. But this child seemed completely unfazed, simply meeting his gaze with a pair of large, pitch-black eyes.
This stubborn, fearless spirit reminded him a little of the woman who had irked him yesterday.
The thought brought Mu Sihan’s attention back to the child before him.
Was it his imagination?
Why did this brat look a little like that woman?
Mu Sihan bent down slightly, his deep black eyes sweeping over the phone screen the child was holding up.
Little Kai had opened a photo he’d secretly copied from Nan Zhi’s phone, a private picture that had never been shared—one of a kind.
In the photo, Nan Zhi wore a new bikini with a white shirt draped over it, just emerging from the sea. Her hair and body were drenched with seawater. Her face was bare, with no makeup, her lips curved in a smile, lovely dimples faintly visible. Her features were clean and beautiful, her thin blouse clinging to her body and revealing her exquisite figure. Below the hem of her shirt, a pair of long, fair, and slender legs drew the eye irresistibly.
At first glance, Mu Sihan thought the kid had downloaded some racy photo from a magazine.
Looking closer, he realized she looked familiar.
“What’s your relationship with her?”
Little Kai gave Mu Sihan a look reserved for idiots, his small brows raised. “Didn’t I just say? She’s my goddess.”
“Is she your mother or your sister?” Mu Sihan asked bluntly.
Little Kai blinked his big eyes, thinking rapidly. If he said she was his mother, would this man look down on her for having a child out of wedlock?
To be safe, Little Kai replied, “Of course she’s my sister!”
“And your parents?”
“I’ve never seen my dad since I was born. He probably went for tea with King Yama! Not that I care, though. As long as I have my beautiful Zhizhi, I’m fine.”
Mu Sihan narrowed his dark eyes. “Who is beautiful Zhizhi?”
“Uh, how can you be so dense? Zhizhi is obviously my… sister.”
Mu Sihan raised his hand and lifted Little Kai by the back of his collar. “You’re a bold one, kid. Try speaking to me that disrespectfully again and see what happens.”
Little Kai pursed his lips. “Only fools use violence to solve problems. Sigh, I’m starting to hesitate about introducing my beautiful Zhizhi to you.”
Mu Sihan looked into the deep black eyes of the brat, a flicker of confusion crossing his face. He set the boy back on the ground, his tone harsh and cold. “Give me her contact information.”
He’d just warned her last night, and today her ‘brother’ was coming after him.
So, she liked to play hard to get, did she?
Little Kai couldn’t quite read Mu Sihan’s thoughts, but for some reason, ever since he’d first seen the man at the airport, he felt he was different from other uncles.
“Add my beautiful Zhizhi on WeChat! When you send the request, just mention Brother Kai introduced you. She’ll accept you.”
