Chapter 97: Alliance (1)
Nan Zhi’s face turned pale. Unbidden, the words that man had spoken to her last night echoed in her mind: “My little kitten, whatever it takes, I will make you mine.”
It was him!
He must have taken Xiao Kai!
Bastard!
Why did matters between them have to involve her child?
Xiao Kai was ill—if he was frightened, his condition could worsen!
It was one thing for that man to torment her, but to target her child as well?
Nan Zhi trembled with rage.
“Miss Nan, I’m so sorry—I failed to watch over Xiao Kai…” Though she hadn’t known Xiao Kai long, Auntie Zhou treated him like her own grandson, doting on him endlessly.
Now that he had disappeared, her heart twisted with worry and anxiety.
Nan Zhi shook her head. “Auntie Zhou, it’s not your fault, don’t blame yourself.”
She took her phone from her bag and stepped onto the balcony, sending a video call to that man.
She didn’t have his number—this was the only way to reach him.
The call rang for a long time, but no one answered; finally, it was cut off.
Nan Zhi grew frantic, pacing in agitation. Biting her lip, she sent another video call.
Damn him!
Was he really planning to use her son to force her submission?
…
In a lavish, magnificent manor.
Within the spacious, European-style living room, a tall, strikingly handsome man lounged on the sofa. Beside the coffee table stood a tiny figure clad in hospital clothes.
The man toyed with a small silver spray gun, his long legs propped arrogantly on the table, his posture both insolent and languid. His dark eyes glanced lazily at the little one. “Kid, I told you to sit, so sit. Don’t put on airs in front of me.”
Xiao Kai frowned, his pretty brows knitting as he looked at the cool uncle who had snatched him away and showed no sign of friendliness. “Do you realize you’re illegally abducting a child? I could call the police!”
Mu Sihan tossed aside the spray gun. With a swift motion, he scooped the little rascal onto his lap.
Xiao Kai was startled by the man’s overwhelming strength.
He blinked his large, sparkling eyes, finding the sensation of being held by this cool uncle rather curious!
In fact, he didn’t dislike it.
The cool uncle’s embrace was different from Meizhizhi’s—it was strong and firm, while hers was soft and warm.
“Kid, what do you think of this place?” Mu Sihan, holding Xiao Kai, rose from the sofa and led him upstairs.
Xiao Kai had never seen a house so grand and luxurious—clearly only the super wealthy could afford such opulence.
So the cool uncle wasn’t just handsome—he was rich, too!
“It’s pretty nice, but no matter how good this place is, I don’t care. I only care about my Meizhizhi.”
Mu Sihan cast a cold glance at the little rascal. “From now on, your Meizhizhi is my woman. You’re not allowed to fight me for her, understand?”
Clearly, Xiao Kai hadn’t expected the cool uncle to be so domineering. He opened his soft little mouth, searching for his voice for a long moment. “Then I won’t introduce Meizhizhi to you anymore.” Before, Meizhizhi had only ever belonged to him, her little man!
Mu Sihan snorted coldly. “I’ve already converted the manor’s annex into your hospital room and bought Renxin Hospital. Now, your life and death are in my hands.”
Before Xiao Kai could protest, he heard the cool uncle say coldly, “The night before last, your mommy was nearly bullied by that man surnamed Fu.”
Xiao Kai recalled how yesterday Meizhizhi hadn’t come to the hospital, and over the phone, she seemed listless. His little mouth quivered, caught in a tangle of worry.
