Yifan led Nanzhi to a rather large and luxurious guest room on the second floor and said, “Miss Nan, please rest here for now. I’ll go and ask the young master.”

Nanzhi bit back the fury and resentment surging in her heart and pressed her lips together. “I want to see him as soon as possible!”

Yifan looked at her with a mild expression. “Miss Nan, you should know a little about the young master’s temper. You can’t force your way against him.”

After leaving the guest room, Yifan went into the study.

Mu Sihan was seated at the desk, watching the surveillance feed on the computer. In the pale glow of the screen, his handsome face looked even more alluring and profound.

He had already heard the conversation between Yifan and Nanzhi.

“Young master, are you going to see Miss Nan now?”

Mu Sihan lifted the cigar held between his long fingers to his thin lips. Half-hidden in the curling smoke, his striking features were inscrutable. “She looks ready to pick a fight with me. If I go over now, wouldn’t I be walking straight into the line of fire?”

Yifan nodded respectfully. “Then should we tell Miss Nan about Young Master Xiaokai’s condition for now...?”

Mu Sihan raised a hand to cut him off, the sharp arch of his brows lifting slightly. “Has the agreement been prepared?”
