Old Master Fu frowned slightly, but he still let out a soft sigh. “I know you don’t like her, and I know you value gratitude and loyalty, but no matter how you feel, this partnership is far too important for our Fu Corporation. You must understand, Mu Yinyin is capable of coming up with such impressive proposals. Who knows how many more she’ll have in the future? If you let this one go, perhaps the Lu Corporation and Starry Group will end up working together for years to come, and that wouldn’t be in our favor.”

Fu Siye was still seated on the sofa, his right hand resting on his knee, slender fingers tapping lightly. His face betrayed no particular emotion. He wasn’t planning to speak.

Seeing this, Old Master Fu shook his head in resignation and spoke again, his voice stern. “The Fu and Lu families have been partners for many years, but that’s only because we’re strong enough, and the Lu family dares not try anything against us. If they rise higher, we may face unforeseen troubles. Partners could easily turn into adversaries who seek to suppress us. I don’t need to spell this out for you—you understand it yourself. You’re well aware of how quickly Starry Group is rising.”

Fu Siye’s brow furrowed. “I know.”

Old Master Fu seemed displeased with his attitude and said coldly, “Since you know, have you thought about what you’re going to do?”

Fu Siye’s expression remained composed. He said nothing.

Old Master Fu felt a surge of frustration, but he knew his grandson’s capabilities well enough. He took a deep breath, as if forcing himself to remain calm, and continued, “Today, when I took your grandmother to the hospital, I ran into Mu Yinyin. We exchanged a few words, and according to her, she’s giving you three days to consider. If you don’t come to a decision within three days, she’ll collaborate with the Lu Corporation instead.”

“Alright,” Fu Siye replied indifferently.

Old Master Fu was momentarily speechless, so angry he nearly lost his temper. After a pause and another deep breath, he asked, “So you plan to go to her on the very last day?”

“She’s still in the hospital at the moment, in no condition to discuss business.”

“If you don’t go, when will she have time?” Old Master Fu’s outburst was practically a roar. Watching his grandson drag his feet like this made his blood boil.

Fu Siye was silent, his face showing a trace of impatience as he looked at his grandfather. “I’ve already said I’ll take care of this partnership. There’s no need for you to worry.”

Old Master Fu suddenly felt a heaviness in his chest and lost the desire to say more.

Fu Siye noticed, but merely asked, “Is there anything else you wanted to talk to me about?”

Old Master Fu’s face darkened. “You rascal… Get out of my sight, now!” He even raised a finger toward the door. Fu Siye’s expression remained indifferent as he stood up and walked out.

In the living room, he didn’t see Liang Min, so he frowned and headed upstairs. As he reached the bedroom door, he heard the maid trying to persuade the old lady to eat.

“Madam, whatever happens, please don’t make yourself upset. Your health is the foundation of everything. If you become unwell, the young madam will be upset too.”

“Young madam?” Liang Min scoffed coldly. “What young madam? She was abandoned by that wretched grandson of mine long ago.”

Though the words sounded harsh, Liang Min wasn’t mocking Mu Yinyin; she was simply angry at her own grandson’s infuriating actions.

Fu Siye’s face darkened. He’d just been called a rascal in the study, and now he was being insulted at the bedroom door.

Before the maid could respond, Fu Siye knocked on the door.

“Who is it?” The old lady’s tone was unfriendly.

Fu Siye forced himself to be patient. “Grandmother, it’s time to eat.”

“I have no appetite. You two go ahead,” Liang Min replied, her voice and attitude both chilly.

Fu Siye didn’t leave. Instead, he pressed the door handle and walked straight in.

Liang Min immediately fixed her gaze on him. Seeing it was only her grandson, she gave a cold snort and said nothing. The maid bowed slightly to Fu Siye, then discreetly left, relieved that she no longer had to persuade the old lady.

Now, only the two of them remained in the bedroom.

“What she said just now is true. If you don’t eat, Mu Yinyin will worry. Should I tell her about this? She’s still in the hospital.”

“You—” Liang Min’s face was unpleasant. “Missing a meal won’t kill me. Why trouble her? If you tell her, she’ll only worry more!”

Fu Siye let out a cold laugh. “What does her wellbeing have to do with me? All I care about is whether you’re eating or not.”

Liang Min couldn’t help but laugh from anger. “Oh, so you want to drive me to my grave, is that it?”

Fu Siye said nothing, his face stony.

Liang Min gritted her teeth, stood up, and stormed out, snapping, “Fine, I’ll eat, all right? Both you and your grandfather are quite something!”

Fu Siye frowned but said nothing, following her downstairs. Watching her aged figure, he finally spoke, his tone calm. “I don’t love her. Divorcing her is a form of respect. Grandmother, you need to see both sides of things.”

Liang Min let out a long sigh and said nothing more. After washing her hands, she went to the dining table.

Seeing they had come out, the maid quickly served the dishes. Liang Min picked up her chopsticks and ate in silence, not waiting for Old Master Fu, eating as if the food were tasteless wax.

Fu Siye sat opposite her, equally silent, neither of them waiting for Old Master Fu. The two ate quietly together.

Halfway through the meal, Old Master Fu finally came down the stairs. Seeing the pair with dark faces and silent mouths, he joined them and began eating as well.

After he finished eating, Fu Siye made no move to linger. Seeing Liang Min set down her chopsticks, he spoke in a low voice. “I have some matters to attend to. I’ll be going now.”

“Fine. Settle things quickly. Don’t drag them out, and don’t make me remind you again. If you do, I’ll handle it myself,” Old Master Fu said, giving one final warning.

Fu Siye replied softly and, without another word, got up and left.

The next day, as expected, Mu Yinyin was discharged from the hospital.

Everyone tried to persuade her to stay another day for observation, to follow the doctor’s advice, but Mu Yinyin insisted she was fine. Unable to convince her, they allowed her to leave, with Lu Sinian personally coming to pick her up.

At this moment, Mu Yinyin was already sitting in the back seat of Lu Sinian’s car.

Lu Sinian glanced at her in the rearview mirror and asked gently, “How are you feeling?”

Today, Mu Yinyin looked quite different from the day before. The color had returned to her face, and she seemed much more energetic.

“I’m fine. It’s you I worry about, with your busy schedule, yet you come in person to pick me up.”

In truth, she hadn’t wanted to get into Lu Sinian’s car at first, but since he had come all this way, it would have been impolite to refuse.
