In the past few days, Liliel, Xuelan, and Duke Feng had ventured out every night in search of Baiye and Lilith’s whereabouts, yet all their efforts proved fruitless. It was as if Baiye and Lilith had vanished into thin air, leaving no trace behind.

Helpless, Liliel and Xuelan could only anxiously await Ang’s return each day. Now, the Vampire Prince had become their sole hope.

At last, after a long wait, Ang’s presence reemerged in the mortal realm.

“Ang is back!” Liliel exclaimed excitedly upon sensing his aura. The long wait finally bore fruit—at last, she could find where Sister Lilith was. Unable to contain her anticipation, she unfurled her bat-like wings and soared toward the source of Ang’s energy, too eager even to call for Ashius. The anxiety of these days had nearly driven her mad.

Seeing Liliel take off in such haste, Xuelan swiftly followed her into the night sky, while Duke Feng remained behind at the hotel, standing guard in case of emergencies.

Upon returning to the mortal realm from the ancient vampire castle, Ang immediately sensed Liliel and Xuelan approaching rapidly and was deeply puzzled.

This journey to the vampire castle had not gone as planned; they had failed to achieve their objectives. After reporting the young lady’s condition to the prince, Ang had expected that, given the prince’s deep affection for her, he would have immediately appeared in the mortal realm without hesitation. Yet, reality had defied his expectations.

“Ang!” Liliel called out loudly from afar upon spotting him.

“Princess Liliel, what brings you here?” Ang asked, puzzled.

“Ang, where is Father? Where is he?” Liliel’s heart sank as she failed to see the person she so hoped for beside Ang, her anxiety mounting.

“Something came up; the prince couldn’t come. Has something happened to cause such distress, Your Highness?” Ang queried, then greeted Xuelan behind Liliel, “Long time no see, Lady Xuelan.”

“Indeed, it’s been a long time, Lord Ang. Why hasn’t the prince appeared? Has he not awakened from his slumber? Surely, if he knew of Lady Liliana’s condition, he wouldn’t remain asleep,” Xuelan’s voice brimmed with confusion.

“I’m sorry, Princess Liliel, Lady Xuelan. I was unable to meet with the prince this time,” Ang explained helplessly.

“How could that be?” Liliel was shocked. “If Father knew about Sister Lilith’s condition, how could he not have come?”

“If he had known, the prince certainly wouldn’t have been indifferent. But I couldn’t report the young lady’s situation to him,” Ang said reluctantly. “Because the prince is missing.”

“What? Missing? That’s impossible!” Liliel’s first reaction was disbelief. The Vampire Prince—the strongest man in the world, the pillar of the entire vampire clan—how could he vanish?

“The fact is, he truly is missing. No one was in his chamber; he wasn’t asleep there. But no one knows exactly when he disappeared. If I hadn’t gone to wake him this time, no one would even know of his absence,” Ang said, equally baffled by the prince’s disappearance.

“How could this happen?” Liliel’s expression darkened, her only hope shattered.

“What exactly happened? Why are you so anxious, Lady Xuelan?” Ang asked her.

“Lady Liliana is in trouble,” Xuelan’s mood sank upon hearing the news of the prince’s disappearance. They had pinned all their hopes on him, only to be met with such a blow—it was almost unbearable.

“What? The young lady is in danger? What happened? Was it the Blood Hunt Guild or the vampires?” Ang was more anxious than anyone, urgently questioning Xuelan.

“It was Baiye. Baiye abducted Sister Lilith,” Liliel said angrily.

“Baiye? That human?” Ang squinted in thought, recalling the human who once crossed paths with Lilith, though just a minor figure. He couldn’t believe Lilith could be captured by a mere human. “How could an insignificant human pose a threat to the young lady?”

“That human recently seized the Vampire King’s power when he was weakened after being defeated by Lady Liliana, becoming the new Vampire King. A few days ago, he used that human named Xingyu as bait to lure Lady Liliana alone, and she never returned afterward,” Xuelan explained, her voice heavy with endless regret and guilt. It was her failure to protect Lady Liliana, despite promising to do so when Ang left. She had watched helplessly as Lady Liliana faced danger.

“Did you let the young lady go alone into danger? Why didn’t you follow her?” Ang exclaimed in disbelief upon hearing the cause of Lilith’s plight.

“We had no choice. Lady Liliana never intended to involve us. Though we knew, we couldn’t intervene. Once she made a decision, no one could stop her,” Xuelan said remorsefully. She wished she had followed her regardless.

“I was too emotional. It’s not your fault. Indeed, once the young lady wants to act alone, no one can stop her,” Ang calmed himself and apologized to Xuelan. “Is this information accurate? The young lady really fell into the hands of that vampire Baiye? Are you sure she hasn’t escaped? If she wanted to flee, no vampire could stop her,” Ang said seriously.

“Sister Lilith gave most of her primordial blood to that human named Xingyu as his first embrace,” Liliel said with difficulty, biting her lip.

“What?” This news shocked Ang even more than learning Lilith was captured. Primordial blood is life itself for vampires. To give it to another is unimaginable. Ang understood the gravity of this—now even he feared for the young lady’s safety. If she were in Baiye’s hands, that might be the lesser evil. Otherwise… Ang dared not think further.

“What shall we do now? We had hoped Father’s arrival would lead us to Sister Lilith, but now even Father’s whereabouts are unknown. Why would he disappear at such a critical moment?” Liliel complained bitterly, her hopes dashed.

“Is there no clue at all? Didn’t you meet Xingyu? Since he’s safe, maybe the young lady escaped too,” Ang asked persistently.

“It’s useless. That human Xingyu doesn’t know Lady Liliana’s whereabouts. He said he teleported away before her fight with that vampire,” Xuelan said in despair.

“Damn it, is there really no way?” Lilith said angrily, feeling deeply guilty for her powerlessness.

The helpless group stood in silence, no one speaking.

“That vampire has long coveted the young lady’s bloodline; he wouldn’t harm her lightly. If she’s in his hands, she should be safe for now,” Ang finally broke the silence with a sigh. “We can only wait for them to reappear. But since she’s with him, even if they show up, we dare not act rashly. For now, we should consider how to handle this situation going forward.”

“Yes, that’s all we can do,” Xuelan said helplessly. “Let’s return to the hotel for now. Later, we’ll go out together to search for Lady Liliana again. Perhaps a miracle will happen.”

“Yes, that’s all we can do. But it’s so frustrating. Why must we always watch Sister Lilith fall into danger, powerless to help?” Lilith said self-reproachfully—an unspoken sentiment shared by all present. Father, where are you now? Do you know Sister Lilith’s life is in danger? Why don’t you appear? Liliel silently asked in her heart, but no one could answer.

At that very moment, the Vampire Prince, mourned by Liliel, was already treading on the lands of the Demon Realm.

The Demon Realm—the tranquil refuge where Lilith once took everyone to seek shelter—was where the Vampire Prince now stood quietly, gazing at the tombstone engraved with his wife’s name. Surrounded by blooming lilies, the place exuded profound serenity.

After standing silently for a long while, the Vampire Prince finally spoke, “Litis, I have brought our daughter to see you. Are you well?” He gently caressed the name on the tombstone, as if seeing his wife’s smiling face, his voice tender. “Our family can finally be reunited. We shall never be apart again.”
