“It’s finally finished...”
Inside the workshop, Jiang Chen exhaled deeply. Through a mental command, he uploaded the final blueprint into Jarvis’s database and ordered, “Jarvis, the ‘Guardian’ blueprint has been uploaded. Check if there are any issues with materials or components.”
Previously, the “Boxer” mech had only been equipped with the “Ripper” electromagnetic rifle, making its combat applications quite limited.
However, when fully outfitted, the “Boxer” could undertake a wide range of combat roles simply by swapping weapons and equipment—a remarkably versatile ground combat mech.
Mechs equipped with the “Ripper” handled ranged firepower; “Phantom” units targeted high-threat enemies from extreme distances; “Firebat” handled sustained medium- and close-range attacks; and “Guardian,” with its plasma shield, provided formidable protection, blocking enemy advances and shielding allies.
If a mech suffered severe damage, the “Battlefield Emergency Repair Module” could restore it to combat readiness.
Different “Boxer” units, each armed with specialized modules, worked in concert to ensure exceptional adaptability and maximum combat effectiveness in any environment.
According to the detailed “Boxer” blueprints, in a certain parallel world, the Terran Federation’s Third Galactic Legion’s ground mech corps standard squad configuration consisted of twelve “Boxer” mechs.
Within this squad, there would be one “Engineer,” three “Guardians,” one “Sniper,” two “Firebats,” and five “Gunners.”

Add a multipurpose logistics transport vehicle, and you had a complete combat squad.
Of course, for special missions, this configuration could be adjusted.
But the reason the “standard configuration” was called standard was because of its broad applicability—when faced with emergency combat scenarios without clear mission parameters, this setup was the most reliable.
Although Jiang Chen had made numerous modifications to the “Boxer”—even replacing human pilots with Jarvis’s subroutines—he had no plans to alter this configuration model.
Adjusting the “Boxer” squad’s composition simply required adding production lines for specialized equipment modules, without changing the manufacturing lines for the “Boxer” itself.
Even previously produced “Boxer” mechs could be retrofitted by simply swapping out their equipment, with no further modifications needed.
Efficient, cost-saving, and highly adaptable—these were the main reasons Jiang Chen had originally chosen to introduce the “Boxer” mech.
Among the blueprints provided by the system, there were many mechanical units with lower technological requirements and higher combat power.
But only the “Boxer” could gain entirely new combat capabilities—and greater adaptability—just by changing its loadout.
After a short wait, Jarvis finished a preliminary analysis of the blueprint and, after an initial assessment over the network, reported, “Master, there are no issues with the materials required for the ‘Guardian’; Earth’s supply is plentiful. However, the core components require manufacturing techniques beyond Earth’s current technology. It would be best for us to handle this ourselves. We can set up a new production line next to the ‘Boxer’ assembly plant.”
“Build a few prototypes first for testing. If there are no problems, then establish the production line.”
Jiang Chen nodded and continued, “The other functional modules have been tested as well. As you suggested, outsource the production of the ‘Ripper’ and ‘Firebat.’ As for the rest, we’ll handle them ourselves.”
Among the standard “Boxer” equipment, the “Ripper,” “Firebat,” and “Phantom” were all usable directly by human fighters.
However, the “Phantom” sniper cannon was so powerful it could threaten even planetary-level entities—Jiang Chen had no intention of letting it proliferate, at least not for now.
Apart from equipping a few snipers in his own direct “Boxer” squad with the “Phantom,” Jiang Chen would not let this weapon fall into the hands of other groups for the time being.

The “Ripper” and “Firebat” technologies were not particularly advanced, and since they could be used by human fighters, it was best to let other factions handle their mass production and deployment.
“Master, shall I contact other factions?” Jarvis suggested, “Since the ‘Ripper’ has already been handed to the military, perhaps the ‘Firebat’ could go to another group. From a business perspective, the HR Alliance is likely to offer the highest price.”
“The HR Alliance...” Jiang Chen mused.
As the purest ‘merchant organization,’ the HR Alliance’s top priority was profit. With their extensive distribution networks, they could always fetch the highest price for any product.
Naturally, when it came to rare resources and technology, the HR Alliance was also willing to pay more than any other faction.
In Jiang Chen’s estimation, the value of the “Firebat” was slightly below that of the “Ripper,” but it was still highly suitable for widespread deployment among elite fighters. Once popularized, the associated profits would be immense.
Given the HR Alliance’s character, they would certainly be willing to pay a premium for the “Firebat” technology.
After a moment’s hesitation, however, Jiang Chen shook his head. “Let’s contact Senior Jia Yi first. If they’re unwilling to offer a good price, then we’ll reach out to the HR Alliance.”
Weapons that could dramatically alter the balance between humanity and the beasts belonged in military hands—that’s where they could realize their greatest value.
The HR Alliance would certainly pay more, but unless the price difference was huge, Jiang Chen preferred to collaborate with the military, allowing more fighters to benefit from new technology.
Even if it meant eliminating the beasts a few months earlier, it would be a boon for all humanity.
“Understood. I’ve already sent an email to Senator Jia Yi on your behalf, inviting him to meet with you at the Palace of the War God.” Jarvis’s voice sounded quickly, “Jia Yi has replied—he’s available right now.”
“Then I’ll go to the Palace of the War God and meet with him in person. Jarvis, keep an eye on the surveillance for me.” With that, Jiang Chen donned his virtual helmet, and in an instant, his consciousness entered the Palace of the War God.
